Turkey’s deadliest earthquake in over a century: CoAsia Electronics extends a helping hand

On February 6, 2023, at 4:17 am, a strong earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale struck the border region of southern Turkey and Syria. This earthquake has caused over 50,000 deaths and nearly 130,000 injuries in Turkey and Syria combined, making it one of the deadliest earthquakes to hit the region in a century.

 

Led by Chairman Lee, CoAsia Electronics lost no time and donated 100,000 NTD to World Vision in response to the disaster. In addition, the company responded to the call of the Turkish Representative Office in Taiwan and gathered colleagues to donate various daily necessities to the disaster area. Within two days, enough money was raised to send 20 boxes of daily necessities to the Tzu Chi Foundation in Neihu. CoAsia's overseas affiliates, subsidiaries, and other related companies also actively joined in the fundraising efforts, showing care and compassion, hoping to deliver aid and supplies to the victims in the disaster area as soon as possible. CoAsia demonstrated its care for the cause through practical actions, hoping to combine many kind efforts to soothe the hearts of the victims and bring warmth to the world.
