We manage resources to fulfill our corporate responsibility by developing significant capacity of identifying social needs. With positive public relationship with the society, we care about disadvantaged groups, community development, and social benefits. By the year of 2020, CoAsia Electronics has made efforts on contributions to Human & Charity Program activities such as ecological conservation, environmental education, disadvantages care, emergency aid, rural education, public service, corporate sponsorship…etc.

We are always a strong supporter of NanKang Software Park II (NKSPII) Building Management Committee in planning and sponsorships of diversified activities, such as ““Calligraphy Masters and Spring Couplets”, “Chinese New Year Greetings”, “Happy Mother’s Day”, “Happy Father’s Day”, “Chungyuan Pu Tu”, “Art Corner”, “Culture Corridor”, “Street Artist with Art Corner”, “Business Fun Fair”, “Basketball Competition with Fun Fair”, “Badminton Competition with Fun Fair”, “NKSP Photography Competitions”, “Lectures of Best-Company-to-Work-For”, “Music, Charity, Fun Fair”, “Charity Sale”, “Lunar New Year Shopping”, “Fire Fighting Training”, “Building and Office Evacuation Training”, “Emergency Response Drills”. CoAsia Electronics is recognized as the “Best Company to Work For” in NKSP II. Through engagement with Building Management, we demonstrated the belief to get in touch with People anytime, anywhere to our employees and stakeholders that corporate social responsibility is a win-win solution for the global village.

We held “A Health-life Charity Walk” for two consecutive years to call employees’ attention on both personal healthy life style and cares for disadvantaged groups. We designed this program of “mileage x 10 = donation” that all employees concluded the Walk of 11,223.83KM in total, equal to NTD112,238. CoAsia Electronics added on the number to NTD 200,000 for donation to The Child Welfare League Foundation. The company employees also extended their love and care to the foundation with personal donations. CWLF advocates for children’s rights and raise awareness of child welfare issues to work on improving legislation.

To echo “What is the Solution. Shoes!” program called by “STEP30 International Ministries – With Forgotten People Connection”, we shared with CoAsia colleagues that in many countries of East Africa, millions of feet are infected with a bug called jiggers, this bug burrows under the skin and toenails laying eggs and leaving painful soars. We collaboratively collected shoes to support this meaningful activity and hope children’s life in Africa is getting better.

CoAsia Electronics heartily engaged with community activities to support public services for a learning community. In 2020, the Company made sponsorship plan to community school sports teams or curriculums and even arranged visiting, interactions, or competition with cheer leaders to shorten the distance with community. It encourages employees the importance of health and active relationships.

With Covid-19 disrupting the world in 2021, and due to the large number of teachers and students in schools, there is a large demand for epidemic prevention items. School have limited resources, so CoAsia contacted Chengzheng Junior High School in Nangang District, Taipei and sponsored a number of epidemic prevention items, including smart Bluetooth forehead thermometers, 75% alcohol solution, and 75% alcohol 500ml + spray guns. Through this charity event, we formulated the direction and details of the in-depth cooperation between the two parties in the future, and established a service and support channel for long-term cooperation with the school. We discussed topics such as disadvantaged families in the school, emergency assistance, uniforms and nutritional lunches for the poorer students, student club subsidies and providing a performance platform.

For the second time in 2021, CoAsia continues to cooperate with “Changhua Xizhou Friendly Agricultural Products” that advocates non-toxic farming, purchases at a guaranteed price, not using pesticides, fertilizers, herbicides, and strictly adhering to ecological restoration. CoAsia once again purchased Xizhou Shangshui Rice with the “Adopting an acre of Farmland” and the “Annual Generosity” projects, providing it to colleagues for food and giving back to the society as gifts. In 2020, CoAsia donated rice to the Hongdao Welfare Foundation for the Elderly, the Dazhuang Community Development Association of Xizhou Township, Changhua County, and the Shuangqi Community Development Association of Heping District, Taichung City. Following those donations, in 2021, CoAsia is cooperating with the Nangang Social Welfare Service Center of the Social Affairs Bureau of the Taipei City Government to provide quarterly subsidies to disadvantaged families in Nangang District, the Xinyi Nangang District Resource Center for the Disabled, the Neihu Women and Family Service Center, the Xinyi Nangang District Early Treatment Resource Center, etc. We do what we can and help those most in need by providing the most basic food requirements.

In Nangang, there is a beautiful ecological landscape called the “Jiuru Community” that is “neither urban nor rural.” The community has a large proportion of low-income and middle-income households, a huge gap between the rich and the poor, and is faced with the dilemma of intergenerational education and lack of resources. Social workers offer local and diversified courses for the children, hoping to help them break out of their disadvantaged situations and change the children's lives through education. On September 28, 2021, CoAsia visited the Jiuru Community and sponsored 54 kg of Xizhou Shangshui rice, local jade pouch honey, and mushroom sauce, hoping that through community connection and feedback, society can become warmer and caring.
